Work Experience
& Internship Adviser

"I am passionate about helping students with career choices."

I was born in Burbank, California and grew up in the San Fernando Valley. When my best friend Karen and I married, we moved to Simi Valley. That was 36 years ago, and we still live in the same house.  I attended California State University, Northridge and earned a degree in Business, Finance. Later, I attended Azusa Pacific University and earned credentials in teaching English and School Counseling . I taught at Valley View Middle School for 16 years before moving to the Simi Valley High School English Department, and then to advisor for the Work Experience program in August of 2013 .

Karen and I have been involved with the Simi Valley schools since the early 1980’s. We joined the PTA at Simi Elementary, became PTA co-presidents, and then began working in the classroom.  I still volunteer with the PTA’s Junior Olympics as the J.O. Volleyball tournament coordinator, and I am an assistant coach for the Simi Valley High School boys' volleyball team.
