College & Career Technician

My goal as the College & Career Center technician is to make sure that all students at Simi Valley High understand the college admission process, have the tools and resources to begin their journey, and believe that they can fulfill their college aspirations!  If your child has a different dream of joining the military, going to a trade school, or starting an apprenticeship, then I am here to help him or her as well.  Every student’s future is important to me.  I believe that with the right tools, anything can be accomplished.

Please use this page as a resource for important college announcements, upcoming event dates, links for scholarships and other useful web resources.  You may also contact me personally with any questions or to schedule an appointment.  I have an open door policy for all students and parents.  Navigating the road to college starts in 9th grade; let me help you with the process!

College Campus Tours

As you begin to receive your acceptance letters Ms. Cavanaugh wants you to think about visiting the campuses you are interested in before commitment to them.  There are many ways you can do this.

First and foremost, you may contact each college directly via their websites to view campus tour information.  A lot of tours require you to RSVP ahead of time so be sure to check before you get there.  Your families can make this a memorable road trip, add it on to vacations over spring break or stop by on the weekends.

If you need any help or have questions please see Ms. Cavanaugh in the CCC.

In addition, International Student Tours (Not affiliated with SVUSD or SVHS) will package fully customized tours and trips for you and your family.
